Prepare for a guilt free christmas.

Who wants a guilt free christmas?

Prepare for a guilt free christmas this year.

How many people over eat and are less active leading up to the christmas period and then in January decide to take action?

Have you noticed the gyms are full in January and February but come March become decidedly quieter.

Preparing for a guilt free christmas is possible people, and it can be maintained.

Honestly it is:)

Ok so where to start.

Now is as good a time as any to start preparing your body, increase your water intake. It’s simple and easy to do, also inexpensive.

Your body will thank you for it and below is a list of things that will improve if you take this first step.

start with the basics and hydrate

Research says it reduces your risk of colon cancer by 45% bladder cancer reduces by 50%.

Less Irritable as hydration improves your mood and memory and brain function. (This alone is a big enough reason for me)

Lose weight and this is a big one for most people, people often mistake being hungry for being thirsty.

Next time try a glass of water first when you feel hungry, instead of eating straight away.

Less Joint Pain as keeping hydrated maintains soft cartilage.

Flushing of waste and bacteria as digestion needs water to function. If we do not drink enough we cannot flush it out of systems properly.

Prevents headaches, the brain becomes dehydrated and thats when we have headaches.

Thats more than enough reasons to perform the most basic of tasks.

What else?

Have readily healthy snacks available to munch on.

Ok so you need to prepare for this each week and yes it takes up some of your time and energy, but who can’t do this really.

We all can spare “TEN” minutes each weekend.

Make some healthy protein balls the way you want them, use ingredients that you like.I use the following.

1 1/2 cup oats organic

2 Tbsp Raw honey or agave syrup

2 tbsp mixed seeds

2 tbsp cashew nut butter

2 tbsp melted coconut oil

lemon juice fresh squeezed as needed to make the ingredients sticky

2 tbsp raw cacao nibs

2 tbsp dried fruit

Mix all ingredients together and you can roll them into small balls and then sprinkle with coconut or /and then dip in melted dark chocolate.

What else can I snack on?

Raw veg sticks with nut butter work as a satisfying snack. You don’t have to have the entire jar (1 tbsp with celery is great) so just be sensible with how much you have and stop when you are full.

It’s a snack not a meal.

Baked apple slices with cinnamon sprinkled on them.

Apple slices with nut butter

Tuna boats (Using lettuce/spinach as the boat and mix up some tuna/olive oil and lemon and add in some chilli)

These are simple tasty snacks and for more healthy guilt free christmas snacks email me direct.

I have a page of them 🙂

Ok so you have a few simple steps to take but the real work is in the movement, a lot of people tend to use christmas as a time to drink more and move less.

Country walks and even just some outdoor activities that will help your mood and decrease stress levels.

Get outside every day and walk at least 30 minutes a day so you raise that heart rate and treat yourself to some fresh air.

Support your liver and it will support you.
