I recommend Cellsentials, they have just the right amount of Biotin that is essential for healthy hair, strong nails and youthful skin. Have a look in “Shop” in the above link?
What vitamins help you grow healthy hair?
- Vitamin A. All cells need vitamin A for growth
- B-Vitamins. One of the best known vitamins for hair growth is a B-vitamin mentioned below. BIOTIN.
- Vitamin C.
- Vitamin D
- Vitamin E
- Iron
- Zinc
- Protein
Why Biotin?
Well, Dr Susan stuart (Board certified dermatologist) says “These B complex vitamins (also known as vitamin H) are important in metabolism, helping your body to process energy and transporting carbon dioxide from your body’s cells,”
Biotin benefits include helping to give us a young, attractive appearance since it plays a major part in maintaining the health of our hair, nails and skin, Says Dr Axe
Ok so where can you find this vitamin in foods?
Organ meats such as Liver, Kidney, Heart and Tongue. All great but a supplement may make it easier to make sure you have enough in your diet on a regular basis.

One pot can last almost 2 months!
VALUE ALERT!
Other foods containing biotin are listed below
Eggs
Avocado
Cauliflower
Berries
fish
legumes
Mushrooms
Nuts and spinach and other leafy greens
Please don’t fall for the “Rubbing fish oil into the hair directly” it doesn’t stimulate hair follicles”
It is not true and will only make you very smelly.
Some other tips include….
1/Get yourself a hairdresser that really knows what they are doing. Mine is Fab!
2/Keep your hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks
3/Over washing can damage the hair and the shampoo you use can have a huge impact, this can be negative or positive. Ask your hairdresser what they recommend for your hair type. I use a protein shampoo recommended by my hairdresser and she told me how and when to use it.
4/Always protect your hair, especially in the sun and again ask your hairdresser, I have heat protector spray for styling (When I have time to style) and I have a hair sun screen I use for when I am away in the sun.
5/Think of your hair like your skin, put on the best products and invest in them. Your hair will thank you.
6/Invest in a good hair brush. Keep your brushes clean and free of dead hair, oil and product build-up by washing them in a mixture of baking soda and warm water once a month.
So a few tips but your hair will change and need different courses of care throughout the year. My hair needs more TLC when it is hot weather and more protection from the sun.
I need more moisture for it in the winter when it becomes dry from central heating. Your skin is the same.
Take time to look after your hair and skin and follow a balanced healthy diet. This means everything in moderation and your skin and hair will let you know when you are over Indulging.
