Preparation or organised chaos? Christmas seems to be bringing many mixed emotions as discussed in my last post, how many of you prepare in advance?
I have a trip away booked for a few days (Minus children and dog) and I am lucky enough to have a “very cool” mother that has taken on my brood for the duration of my break.
A few days, hubby and I celebrating our anniversary.
This trip has taken around three-four years to book, untold hours of planning and I even pre-cooked some meals for the first few days. I have a dog that needs a special diet as she has epilepsy so one single mistake in her diet can result in a seizure.
All her meals also pre-prepared and frozen.
You can imagine the planning. I need an army of people to help not one person but my mother, secretly I am sure, has superpowers.
I have called in a favour to an amazing friend too, and a sitter for the last day in case the plane is delayed! All planned to the last detail.
My point of this post is that it can be done. I am proof.
Planning and determination are what it takes.
Also a great mother and reliable sitter and a patient fantastic friend. I am going for three days only but the planning is on such a huge scale.
If you have a plan to lose weight or to increase energy by changing the way you live and eat, then what’s stopping you. If you know the only way forward is to get moving and change your diet, then why not start planning?
Baby steps for any change are what is needed, never change too much in one go, some people in January will cut out alcohol, give up smoking and join a gym. I find that admirable of course but it is a lot to do in one go.
BABY STEPS is the principle I live by and always tell my clients, “It takes time to get where you want to be” imagine how long it took you to get out of shape and lethargic, it was not overnight, take your time.
The steadier the weight loss the best chance of keeping it off.
The more energy you gain, the more determined you are to follow the next step.
If you are interested in a baby steps approach, a healthier you then email me and we can work from week to week.
I asked 5 people why they complain about being tired, or sick, or just heavier than they like, why they haven’t booked in to see me or asked for advice?
I have these answers.
1/I can’t afford it.
Ok, this one is the usual answer but I hadn’t discussed fees so how would they know? This is an excuse I find as spending £3.00 a day on a latte is what I call expensive. £6.00 on a bottle of wine once or even twice a week?
Wine a year at one bottle a week= £312.00
One Latte =1 year for five days a week =£1,095
2/I don’t want to lose out on going out and having fun?
Well, I asked, “Do you have fun feeling the way you do”? It doesn’t have to be a life sentence. I go out and have fun and enjoy food and drink but I minimise the damage.
My Damage control sheet is available if you send your email I will forward for FREE.
3/The foods probably impossible to get hold of or very expensive?
Again a presumption made without a conversation. I make sure all foods listed are seasonal so you will get them easily, also the foods that are difficult to get hold of are not the ones I recommend as a day to day lifestyle change.
4/I haven’t time.
My all-time favorite;) if you haven’t time for your own health, are you really living? You deserve to be energetic and happy in your own body. Baby steps are all it takes.
Make a difference to yourself and give your self a chance, if you need just tweaking in the energy only department or just a few ideas of what to feed the kids and how to minimise their sugar intake, all this can be covered in a one to one appointment.

So if you need help reaching those goals then take action. Give the gift to someone else for Christmas, I just purchased an amazing gift for my husband and I was super excited I found something that will benefit his health.
A one to one with me. I am joking, I purchased a great Christmas offer of sports massages. A fantastic offer by the way and if anyone is interested in this offer please email myself and I can forward the details.
A great offer and it will benefit his health.
There really are so many ways to have a conversation. For a friendly and non-judgmental conversation with someone who makes their life work helping others get to the goal they have set email maria1tait@gmail.com
Have a great week.
