Certain foods can age you and speed up the process of premature ageing.
So what food can perform such an evil?
SUGAR
Overloading on the sweet stuff causes a process called” Glycation,”
The theory behind this is that when you eat more sugar than the body requires you start off the process of sugar molecules that combine with proteins and thus creating “Advanced glycation end product”.
(INCREASE IN THE AGED LOOK) This can damage the skins collagen.
ALCOHOL
When your liver is working at optimum level then the toxins are broken down correctly, but when its compromised by alcohol consumption the liver can not break down the toxins effectively and this causes sallowness and wrinkles amongst a few ageing signs.
Dehydration is another side effect of alcohol and that causes dryness and lines become more apparent.
Water in between alcoholic beverages is a way to minimise the dehydration but also the effects the next day.
Have a look at this fantastic product I swear by, for protecting your liver and giving it what it needs to perform optimally.

SALTY FOODS
These can cause a puffy face as salty foods cause the body to retain water.
So now you know, when you wake and your eyes look like they have been bag shopping while you slept, its time to check the meal the night before.
PROCESSED FOODS
They have a high sodium content and also they contain Sulfates which cause inflammation in the body. Inflammation causes many problems in the body so cut back on these foods.
What can you do to minimise the ageing process?
Start by hydrating, a glass of water in the morning when you wake and before you even get up fully. Its the best start to the day.
When you have your first meal of the day then make it a protein and a good healthy fat meal.
Avocado smashed with chilli and two eggs with a handful of organic spinach.
Nut Butter on toast
A shake if that’s what you start the day off with, just add in some healthy fat and protein. (Coconut oil, nut butter)
What else?
What about some exercise?
A run to start you off for the day ahead? I do not like running ( At all) but I will try and make an effort once a week.
Meditation if you feel stressed or anxious?
Breathing? It sounds difficult but have a look here…..
Watch out for internal Inflammation.
Inflammation in the body causes many issues and for ageing here is what happens…
Ageing is a progressive degenerative process tightly integrated with inflammation.
To prevent or assist in recovery in reaching homeostasis read on…..
Fill up on fruits and vegetables (preferably organic) from every part of the color spectrum.
Monounsaturated fats such as olive oil, nuts and avocados; and sources of omega-3 fatty acids, which are present in cold-water fish such as wild Alaskan salmon, sardines and anchovies, as well as walnuts and flaxseed.
All these foods have anti-inflammatory properties. In addition, spice up your anti inflammatory diet with ginger or turmeric, which have natural anti-inflammatory effects.
Sleep is so important check out how much is recommended here….
